I traveled quite a few miles in a Ford Model A but I missed the Model T experience. However, I can remember my Mom telling me how she learned to drive in a Model T.
There were three pedals on the floor. The left pedal shifted gears from neutral [midpoint], to low [all the way down], to high [all the way up]. The center pedal was for shifting into reverse, and the right pedal was the brakes.
The throttle was on the steering column, similar to many modern lawn mowers. A spark adjustment was also on the steering column, for advancing or retarding the spark.
